Jennifer Senyk RYT & Pattie McCann ERYT, two teachers with lots of teaching experience, will offer tips and pointers to make the common standing poses of yoga more effective for every body.
Gaining more understanding of the form and function of these often-practiced poses, will make everything easier and help you get maximum benefit from them going forward.
Small shifts of alignment can make all the difference in how yoga poses work for you in your body; e.g. differences between Warrior 1 and Warrior 2 are beyond just a movement of the arms. Knowing how you want to realign poses and why (hint: it isn’t so it looks more like a picture), can make your practice more effective and actually more relaxing.
