The chakras of yoga are energy centers in us that align with our physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual well-being.
The seven chakras affect seven layers of what we can think of as living a good life:
strength and security
creativity, balance
loving and being loved
self-expression
self-understanding
spiritual connection
Yoga practices are designed to enhance these energies in us. Knowing the intention and understanding more can take your practice deeper and help your practice enrich your good life.
We’ll talk about the 7 chakras and their purpose, but we will also practice asana to connect the movement with the energy and experience the practice with awareness.
There will be asana practice suitable for all levels, along with the discussion. Please wear comfortable clothing and bring your mat.
