Satsang is a gathering of people looking to listen, learn, and share thoughts and ideas about an uplifting or enlightening subject. Usually the chosen topics are related to each of us finding greater fulfillment and good will in our lives.
Our topic in October will be Reacting & Responding: How do we find the pause between? Our practice of yoga postures is always asking us to see if we can take a breath or two in an uncomfortable place before we just back up. How do we take that lesson off our mats to improve our own life? If we’re quick to anger, how do we find the little pause that stops us from saying or doing things we regret later? If we’re too quick to say yes, how do we find the pause that prevents us from being overwhelmed! If we’re impulsive, how do we find the pause…? If we are quick to be offended, how do we find the pause…?
Putting a little space between an initial reaction and forming a response that will serve us better in the long run. Let’s talk about how we do that, what we’ve all found helpful, and share experiences and support.
We’ll follow up the discussion with a breathing practice and a brief period of meditation together.
