Here’s a final opportunity to quiet down the busy over-stimulation of long, hot summer days that may be taking a toll on our health, sleep, and energy. Autumn brings another batch of ‘too-much-to-do’ and taking some personal time for self-care practice before we move from one season to the next can be just what our nervous system needs.
Yoga nidra is often referred to as "yogic sleep," and is a state of being between sleep and consciousness that's conducive to deep emotional and physical healing, rewiring your brain, and self-exploration. This form of still guided meditation, is an effective and efficient way to access the "rest and digest" parasympathetic state, which is where healing happens.
While you rest back in comfort, Dawn Young, ERYT and C-IAYT, will lead you through a practice of self-awareness that leads to an understanding of our harmonious, restful being. If you’ve struggled to find stillness in other meditation practices, yoga nidra may take you there.
The practice will begin with some brief all-levels movement and yogic breath to facilitate rest. Accessible to everyone.
