A Special Offering from Strongheart Yoga
Intro to Thai Massage with Jason Blackman
September 28th, 12-6pm
Thai Massage is an energy-healing connection between giver & receiver that can reduce stress and anxiety while it increases mobility, flexibility, & breaks through blocks. It is both strong & gentle, powerful & relaxing. And you don’t need formal training to help your family or friends when they’re sore or stressed. This will be a fun class to explore some basics and techniques and help anyone become more comfortable with their own healing touch.
Thai massage is typically performed on a comfy mat on the floor, with both giver and receiver fully clothed, and little or no oil. The Thai method focuses on acupressure points, muscle compression and stretching done in a rhythmic flow. It is often described as having yoga done to you and some have even nicknamed it “yoga for lazy people”. This ancient traditional practice is a one-on-one connection that can feel as good to give as to receive.
Jason will bring the joy and laughter to an afternoon of learning and experiencing compassionate touch, so you can take it home and share it with your partner, family, and friends.
Just $70 for this fun five hour class. Or bring along a friend or partner and save, 2 for $120.
Jason, a local boy who has lived in Thailand for the past 15 years, has a long history as a healer. He has combined his training as a massage therapist & EMT locally, with the study of Thai massage and other Eastern healing arts in Thailand, Sri Lanka, and India.
